The first Center of Excellence in Social Sciences and Humanities in Serbia was accredited by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation – STAR Center of Excellence for Behavioral Research in Psychology
STAR Center is responsible for creation and maintaince Serbian Twin Advanced Registry (STAR). STAR is the only twin registry in the region and include more than 3000 registered participants, who showed interest in participating in scientific research.
Through scientific projects, STAR Center contributes to the development of behavioral genetics in national and international frameworks. One of them is GENIUS – Genetic and environmental influences on psychological adaptation of children and adults, suported by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
Members of the STAR Center were coordinators of the first Open Science project in Serbia: BEOPEN – Boosting Engagement of Serbian Universities in Open Science, suported by European Commission:.
As a result, a national Platform for open science was adopted.
All universities managed institutional repositories of open science.
